Do any of you dressmakers out there know of any discount material websites? It seems our JoAnn's just doesn't have much these days and when they do, it is expensive. I'm looking for T-shirt material, the thicker and stretchy kind. I can't find any at our local shops. Thanks!

I found some navy pinstripe fabric here a long time ago for a costume. Navy pinstripe is harder to find than you think! Anyway, this place has 44 pages of knit apparel fabric. You didn't say what color so I didn't refine the search. https://www.fabric.com/apparel-fashi...Slot1-_-2.2.16

Thanks! I found some material on sale! They have tons of fabric but some can be very expensive.

Hi I am not a sewer but my friend is she said try this site it is called... Thousand of bolts and only one nut.. I hope this helps.

Thank you and your friend for sharing! i just returned from JoAnn's Fabric and this site is definitely cheaper on some of their material.

I've found that if I see a dress, shirt or whatever at a yard sale and I like the fabric I usually can buy it for next to nothing-like.25-.50 then just take it apart and use for my pattern cheaper than buying fabric. if your dog is on lthe smaller side it doesn't take very much fabric

It isn't necessarily a cheaper option than JoAnns, but if you want to design your own fabric for a special project, Spoonflower is awesome!

You could try Marshalls Dry Goods Company, they have awesome fabric, and wide fabric for quilting.

I know this is an older thread but I thought I would share anyway. I just bought some pre-cut material on Michaels website. They have a wide selection and quite a few sale options. I bought 6 pieces 21"x18" and it came to less then $30 including tax with free shipping.

My goal is to make my little phoebe some matching dresses/diapers, something I haven't been able to find on amazon
