I'm getting married on October 23, and I'm trying to convince the Priest of my church to allow Lola to be our ringbearer. If he allows it, I want her to wear this little shirt! Its soooo cute! This priest is a serious roadblock on things though. He wouldn't allow my lesbian friend who is a bridesmaid to wear a tux, which I understand that he doesn't condone homosexuality, but who said its his choice? I support her, and everyone supports me in my Yorkie Obsession and the fact that I want my babies in my wedding!

Very cute and as far as your friend & her choice of attire...it's none of your Priest's business!

Would he not allow your Mother to wear a pant suit at your wedding...?

I would take that up with the Monsignor of your parish if you are Catholic.

Now...a puppy ring-bearer, that may be a problem but, maybe you could say he's your therapy dog and he needs to be with you...lol!

LOL well the mom thing wouldnt be a problem. Mom will only be there in spirit. I'm Greek Orthodox, and so far hes been bending rules left and right for me, like my fiance not being Orthodox. Maybe I can say that it was a plan that I had set with my mom and that I'd like to do it in her memory? She did pass away october 28 last year.

My Yorkies are so precious to me. I would definitely want them in my wedding and I would get another priest to marry us if he wouldn't allow my dogs to be in it. It is your wedding and you should have whoever you want to be there. To us, Yorkies are family. They belong with us and it would be adorable for them to bring the ring down. Do it your way and have great memories! and cute photos!

Teri, this is an older thread. I bumped a bunch of older ones here in the Fashion Forum today. I went looking afterwards & it turned out they wouldn't allow the OP to have her pup in the ceremony either.

It's STILL a really cute shirt!
