Female in Michigan Unfortunately 2 years ago our precious Miss Molly was taken to doggie heaven and she is deeply missed by the whole family including our other wonderful Yorkie Maggie (6 years old). We have decided the time has come to begin our search for our new family member. We are looking to have this puppy join our family in late Spring/early Summer. Any advice?

| I know of a great breeder in Michigan. Her name is Breny on here, but I don't know if she will have a litter at that time. You would have to contact her.

Michigan Yorkies available Hi there! I just got a Yorkie from Rose Edwards of Ojibway Yorkies--she has a nice website to check out. I know that she currently has some teenagers and puppies available. She lives in Baraga so it is one heck of a drive, but I drove up there two weeks ago to get my gal. My Coco is almost a year old and she is pretty much exactly as she described her. She is fitting in to our family perfectly and she is a big sweetie who gets along with our kids (she loves kids) other dogs, cats and birds. My one complaint is that Coco wasn't groomed very frequently so she HATES being groomed, but we are working on that. I don't think you would have that problem with a puppy. Rose was really helpful and she loves her dogs. It would be worth the trip--plus it is a fun adventure!

Welcome to YT and good luck on your search!! Here is another option that is not too far of a drive from you.... Yorkshire Terrier Information About Yorkies, Yorkie Yorkshire Terriers She is close to U of M...so I assume Ann Arbor area and she's a show breeder. I absolutely love her website because it's very informative and it looks like she's got some beautiful dogs. There are lots of BYB's around MI...please make sure you do your research and buy a pup from a reputable breeder. There are also LOTS of rescue yorkies on petfinder in our area. You will find everything from small puppies to older dogs on there...may be worth a look.

Here is Breny's website if you are interested in checking her out... Exquisite Babydoll Extreme Yorkies It says she doesn't have any puppies now, but you could get on her waiting list for her next litter. IMO, finding the right breeder is the key to getting the right puppy....even if you have to wait a bit longer for your puppy...it will be worth the wait. BTW, I just love her biewers~~

Homeward Bound Rescue in Canton MI has a bunch of yorkie and yorkie mix puppies right now!! You can find them on Petfinder.com. Below is a pic of my favorite puppy on there. His name is JT. If I didn't have 2 boys already, I'd be calling on him myself.... Last edited by theporkieyorkie; 02-12-2014 at 08:43 AM.

one of the gals in our meetup group shows yorkies and is very involved in the Yorkie Club of breeders in MI, I will email you her contact info, she can be very helpful. But be prepared to pay in the $1,800.00 to $2,000.00 range for a pet puppy.
