| Getting a little nervous... Bingo will be 6 months on the 23rd of this month. So we're getting close to putting him in the ring. I am worried about his coat because I've never cared for a show coat. Do I need to trim it at all? Does anybody have any good pictures of a 6 month old in show coat that I could see how they are groomed? What about the legs and feet? Do I just trim around the feet like normal, or do I need to trim any leg hair as well? Thanks to anybody that can answer these for me!

I don't do much with a puppy as far as getting too excited on alot of coat grooming but they are clean and shiney and the top knot is pretty. I make it more fun for the puppies when they are young. I don't fuss alot about coat grooming on a 6 month old puppy to me it's all about fun but of course they have to have manners Hope this helps And remember this is just how I do things other exhibitors do other things. | i would not trim the hair on the legs, just around the feet and pads. trim the tip of the ears- cut nails, make sure the teeth are clean. i just tried Pantene Always Smooth- i love it- it left my babies looking very shiny looking. BUT AT 6 MONTHS OLD- IT REALLY IS ABOUT HAVING FUN, a happy experience for the puppy and you. |
