YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Cute wrapping jacket! Your boy looks so interested in what is outside that window! Just a thought/question, on the center abdomen do you not trim hair there? We do as part of the sanitary trim. The side hairfall is not usually negatively affected by trimming that hair. I know different countries may have different standard grooming practices - just interested to learn. Also on the face/head we usually wrap the sides and the moustaches/beard. I was never too good at growing the side head hair What products do you use to wrap the hair with?

This was Sunny's first time and we "semi" wrapped him. We didn't wrap head, tail and lower legs because we didn't want to overwhelm him. The hair on the center abdomen are too short to wrap at the moment. Normally they are wrapped together with the side wraps. As for the head we do it the same way as you do, but it depends on the dog whether it keeps them or scratch them. As for the products, we use #1 All systems shampoo/conditioner and lanolin. Here is Marvin - our first show dog - with all his wraps. The second picture is last week, almost 3 years old with full coat | ||

Beautifull picture of Marvin. Thank you for showing me his full wraps - and yes it looks the same as we do here. And very well done wraps! Do you wrap or does your wife wrap the dogs? I have never shown under FCI - but my very vague understanding of Championships as they are in Europe, is that first you get a Junior Championship, and then when the dog is fully mature you can get what do I say the final or complete championship? In Yorkies of course that would mean the full coat has grown in, the colors have settled to their adult color, and of course structure and temperament is matured. What health testings do you do in Greece? And BTW we went to Greece on our honeymoon, beautifull country, we especially enjoyed Crete! I look forward to seeing more pics of your Sunny, and thank you for sharing your obvious joy in your boy and your knowledge too

| Thanks Gemy for the kind words! I am still learning like all of us and each day I learn something new. My wife does the wrapping I just observe and sometimes help and enjoy them with full coat. So the kudos go to her. Under FCI a dog can participate in the corespondent age class at any time without any prerequisites (eg Junior Champion Certificate). So a dog may very well enter the ring for the first time at 3 years of age at open class. As for health testing in Greece... Unfortunately we don't have a Yorkie Club and the Kennel Club does not require any testing for this breed. So it all depends on the breeder. |

| Hi to all! Our Sunny, did it again! In the International Dog Show held in Athens on Sunday, got another JCAC and Junior BOB, under the honorable judge Mr Csaba Zsolt Lokodi. We are very proud of him |

| He is so pretty. Be sure to keep us posted on his progress. I am not sure how the point system works over there where you are. Is he a champion already and if not what does it take for one to become a champion over there?

| Thank you bjh for the nice words! Of course I will keep you informed on his progress. He is already a Junior Champion of Greece, as over here a dog needs 2 Junior CAC to become a Junior Champion. If I remember correctly in some European countries you need 3 JCAC to become a Junior Champion. Our Sunny already has 4 Junior CAC in 4 shows, under 4 different judges. In the last show he almost got Best of Breed, the judge liked him more, but chose the champion instead, as he had fully grown coat. In order to become a Greek Champion a dog must obtain 3 CAC from 3 different judges. Here in Greece unfortunately we don't have a Yorkie Club, so we don't have Specialty Shows. On the contrary in Italy, where they do have a Club, they have Specialty Shows and you need a CAC from a Specialty Show too. |

| Mike, thanks for the input on dog shows over there. Hopefully your boy will become a Greek champion one day soon. I know it takes a lot of time, expense and dedication to showing for that to happen.
