Hi everyone, I will be moving to Surrey, BC Canada for work. I also would be starting to show. I have a boy right now (who just turned 6months today) and would be showing him. His name is "Goober". Click here for pedigree....

I hope to hear your opinion if he's ring worthy. Thanks.

Sometimes 6 months of age is really hard to tell how he will turn out. Lots of growth spurts at that age. He looks to have great silk and color so far. Top-line looks fair. The things that I see from the pictures are too big of ears and, from the first picture, a longer nose and a little down faced.(could just be that picture) He does have a wonderful pedigree. I wouldnt give up on him. Give him a few more months to grow into himself. I think he might be pretty nice.

Thank you very much yorkiekist for the immediate response. I value it greatly, indeed. A longer nose meant a longer muzzle? I really hope he'll turn out nice. I'm growing the ear-root coat a wee bit more before finally joining him in his first show.

Once he gets more coat, it will soften his look. I agree I would let him have more hair on the ears.
Get some pics of him just on the floor do the squeakie toy or a noise to get his attention. You will get a better look at his topline.
Sometimes puppies don't care for the stacking.
Sometimes pups will look like the head is not in balance with the body, until they mature and their body catches up.
So just keep training him and watching him.
His color looks great.

Thanks Deana... I will wait for his coat to get longer when I get a photo of his natural free stack. His puppy coat still gets in the way. You're right I really did notice the difference of a stacked pup and a stacked mature dog... the head of pups looked bigger for their body unlike the matured yorkies. Is it true that it's common for yorkies to be easty-westy (even show yorkies) because they were bred to be ratters?

I'm showing a little bitch right now who is very much like your little guy. She is doing great in the show ring, winning left and right. But, she's almost 2 years old.
IMHO,wait,wait,and wait some more. By 18 to 24 months, you'll find the swan in the little duckling.
