| Lake Buena Vista? has anyone ever heard of Lake Buena Vista Bob? I am trying to get a five generation on my girl I am showing but the pedigree service can't find info on one of his parents. I am almost sure it is because he is Brazillian. After Bob's AKC Tr number the letter BRA are there. So I am thinking it is possible parents were never AKC registered or maybe even never brought to the states. Any info would be appreciated. I already know the Buena Vista line is out of Brazil brought thru Florida (I think). |

Thanks. i got so aggravated at the pedigree man. I had to read him every name and number on the three gen I have from AKC, then he had the nerve to call back about Bob's parents. Heck, if I had known all that, I could print my own pedigree off.

| deana, I didn't find Bob but found hiss sire Ch, Yanke-Yob Wonder of Love. That is my girl's great grandsire. he has so many championship titles from all over the world but i know the man won't put them on my pedigree. Bob's mother is apparently from the Fairytales line. Do you know a website for it. His mother is Fairytales Summer Tyme Blues. meantime I am going to google. |

| I have been told lake buena vista is not as good as it once was, the reason given to me was that they sell to too many people that do not show, and use their dogs to breed as a hobby breeder.. I am interested in hearing if this is right or wrong.. I was looking at there puppy's as I wanted to buy from a good quality breeder.. I did not belong to YT at the time to ask questions. so I did not go further with this.. I also want you to know I am not posting this to cause drama, but indeed to learn from you.. thanks for this post.. pooh's mum |

| this thread is not about how good or bad the line is but about a dog that is showing up on my pedigree that I need info on. Please don't get offended. i hate to see it turned into anything else because the next thing you know some of the big hot shot breeders will be on here running my girl down because she has so much Lake Buena Vista. That's why I even hesitate to post anymore but you have seen it and you know what I mean. perhaps if you started a thread about it you would get your info. All I want to know is about lake Buena Vista Bob. i found his sire and his sire has one heck of a pedigree. Now I am looking for the Fairytales line. i googled but all that came up were shows the line had won. |

akc. they can only go back to akc reg. if that makes sense. somtimes you can only get a partial ped. 3-5 gen. I have one out of Canada I can only go back 4 gen. the rest is foreign. ask your breeder for a copy of the parents pedigree the should have it. I got both the parents back 5 gen.also check and make sure he has been reg. through akc. if he was a foreign dog you have to transfer reg papers to akc. I think it cost $50.00

| Are you sure his name is Lake Buena Vista Bob? I was just thinking that if you put the Bob in front of the Lake Buena Vista - you would have BOB (Best of Breed). Just wanted to make sure. If Bra is in his number - yes, he is Brazilan. You might want to ask Glaucia (also a judge now in Brazil) about him. She may know where he is since she named him. T. |

| I wonder if you contacted the Foreign registery if you could get the info you are needing...I know that any forgein champion parents of a dog registered with the AKC will not show up as champions unless they are also AKC champions...Good Luck! ~Laura

| Okay, now I know. What you need to do to find her dam's side is simple if you have her AKC number. Just go to the AKC wen site and click on registries. Then you want to do a search. You just place in the AKC registered number or even just her full name and it will find it for you. You will have to pay a fee for this service, but if she is AKC will pull it up for you right on the Internet and it is fast and easy. I ahve done this before to search back further in the pedigree. Good luck! You will probably not find anything available except through AKC site. The reason Yankee does not have all his titles listed through AKC is that he is not an American dog registered through them. He is foreign and will only get his title through the countries he is registered through and showed at. I hope this helps. Even though a dog is championed or multiple championed at other countries, AKC does not recognize it. T. |
