| Smelly Hi Everyone, I'm sure millions of people have already asked, but I'm still a newbie when it comes to taking care of my dog. My biggest problem: He smells. I've tried using sprays, bathing etc. it doesnt work. Do you guys have any products or ideas that you could share? I don't really like fruity or vanilla or baby powder or anything girly or flowery smell or anything thats over the top giving you a huge headache smell and I also want the smell to last. also his sheets and bed and pillows....I wash it all the time...but it will just go back to being smelly. PLEASE HELP!!! thank you so much, any advice would help!!! |

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | wonder why he smells so bad. I would think if you spray on a conditioner it should last a couple days. Does he have gas? I wonder if it's his diet? I use tropiclean, it's a tropical smell, like coconut. |

| How often do you bathe? I know if I bathe every 2 weeks, mine don't smell. And have seen some here who bathe every week too. |

| I would wonder why he smells so much too. Maybe ask your vet about it. There are some conditions that will cause them to smell bad -- need to check on that. Any skin problem? What food do you use? How often do you bathe him? Does he play with other dogs? I know mine have a tendency to chew on each other playfully and sometimes get each other smelly and stringy from saliva. Nothing I can do about that cause I love to see them enjoy themselves like that. But a smell so bad that the bed and blankets are smelling too -- I would think that is unusual. Yorkies in particular do not usually smell as much as some dogs.

| I brush Emma with Crazydog brand Babydog Grooming spray. All our friends and family can't believe how great she smells-just like baby powder! I got it at Petco. |

| this is gross but before chewy was nuetered he would hump some times,(Not to often but) any way he would smell from that. he was most likely to do this in he create... (Bordom?) See if this is the problem. when I caught him doing it I would tell him no and distract him. he doesn't have this problem any more!!!!

| i bathe him once a week, i don't know why he still smells i mean its not very potent but if i was sitting on the ground... i could smell him from a distance especially his crate area. I just found out this weekend that my groomers use this brand called Le Pooch and a colonge spray for him too. I looked it up online and MY GOODNESS they are expensive his cologne alone is like 55 dollars. yikes!! i just bought the shampoo from my groomers for 20 something dollars have not tried it out yet, but i think the cologne is making him smell good for a couple of days. Gosh what we do for our babies huh? Thank you for everyones input! I will definately try out all of the products that you guys suggested if it doesnt work out...i suppose the $55 it is haha. |

| You might want to also clip the hair around his 'manhood' - maybe some pee is staying in his fur and making him smelly? |

| Check his ears, if they have a strong odor it may be ear mites they can really cause a bad smell, the vet can give you meds to clear that up. Good luck with your baby.
