| What size Clothes to buy??? Hi I'm about to be a new Yorkie mom Willow will get to come home March 6th and I'm so excited and have been shopping for her. I know she is too small right now for cloths but want to buy some for later but not sure on size thought yall might be able to help me out. She is going to be about 3-4lbs. I see most cloths are X-Small 8" and Small 12". What do yall buy for your dogs that are about that size. Thanks, Julie |

It depends where you shop, Joey at 5 1/2 pounds can wear an x-tra small some places, and a small other places. I would think you would need an xxtra small. A good rule of thumb, is to double the 12 week weight to see what the final weight should be, and don't buy too many expensive clothes until she is at least 8 months.

| This part is killing me - waiting for her to grow! I see soooooo many things I want but I'm holding out until I know what size she will be! It's tough! So far I bought some inexpensive tshirts and one sweater. That's it for now!

| When I first got Ella at 9 weeks, she was about 2 1/2 lbs and she wore size x-small. Now she is 6 months old and I bought her size small and she weights 3.2 lbs. Have fun shopping and good luck with your little one! |

| measuring them is the best way to determine size! some clothes might fit at the chest but can be too short as far as length & vice versa. i haven't bought madison too many clothes yet because she's still growing, its so hard to wait!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Lol, I went a little nuts at first, and Joey couldn't even wear the xxtra small, he was under 4 pounds at 6 months, and I thought he would never grow, then he had a major growth spurt, and we didn't even have a chance to wear some of the things. The nice part about it is, once they are their adult weight that's it, they can wear the same size for years.
