| Great price on washable pee pads I ran across this site through a Dachshund message board and just ordered some of these pads to try them out. They had good reviews on the Dachshund board, but I have NOT tried them yet. You sure can't beat the price though - 2 pads, about 30" square, for $4.00 I know that a lot of members use pee pads, so thought I'd pass the info on. Evidently the company hires handicapped employees to recycle human incontinence pads for pet use, which I think is really a win win for everyone. Once I get mine and try them out I'll let you know how they work and what the quality is - but I kind of figure that for the price, even a so-so quality will be okay. because I am using quite a few disposable ones and would much rather not fill up the landfill with them - so if these work I'll be tickled pink and ordering some more! The company is ODC Merchandise.com - and here is a link to the pee pad page: http://tinyurl.com/7xo9jd

| Update - I got my pee pads! Overall - I'm pleased with these - especially for the price! I ordered 10 pads (5 packages) - they came quickly - they are a mixture of pads: some have a sort of quilted top with different colored backs and some only have a fleece type top over the waterproof pad - like an older type baby bed pad. Out of the 10 pads, one had a little bit of dark staining - which doesn't bother me, and one had a couple of small holes in the top part. I use my pads both flat on the floor upstairs for the "girls", and in a litter box with a tall back & sides downstairs for Max, since he "overshoots" a flat pad The size of these pads is great for the litter box - I was using 2-3 regular size disposable pads in the litter box to cover it well, and I can get by with only one washable one because they are a lot larger. They are very close in size to the large bed pads for people use that I have been buying at Walmart. I just ordered 20 more pads - I think they are well worth the price of $2.00 each.

| That's an amazing price!! I just bought washable pee pads at a pet expo and they were $10 each!! They have kind of a quilted top and a plastic backing in different colors (not that I really care what color is on the back). They are about 2 times the size of a regular disposable puppy pad....but I still wish I didn't have to pay $10!! I wish I knew about this before!! |
