| [News] Hundreds of dogs rescued from puppy mill This is just so sad Watch our dramatic video of the rescue of hundreds of puppies at a Tennessee puppy mill. Yesterday, The Humane Society of the United States led a massive rescue effort to save nearly 700 breeding dogs and puppies in the largest puppy mill rescue in Tennessee history. Watch our exclusive video of the rescue of hundreds of animals from the horrors of the Pine Bluff Kennels puppy mill operation. The HSUS is working with a small army of dedicated individuals, and the animals are now safely housed in a temporary emergency shelter operated by The HSUS, where veterinarians are assessing the animals' medical needs. The animals will be placed with HSUS partner shelters and given the chance to be adopted into loving homes. |

| This puppymill was selling their puppies online according to the news article in the local paper. It should be a warning to everyone about the dangers of buying puppies from internet websites. | I was reading about this yesterday and did you guys know that they busted this woman in 98, she had 500 dogs at that time. But because they did not do it "legally" it was thrown out. It took them 10 (TEN) years to go after her again. So for 10 years these dogs and puppies suffered because they did NOTHING to stop it for those 10 years!!! THAT makes me just as sick because if they had done their job right this would not be happening.. And why did they not try again to bust her for 10 long years?! |

| this breeders website business is at pinebluffpup.com What a bunch of lies!! It is good for the animals to be recued from this place, that's for sure!! Poor babies...I wonder how people far away from TN could adopt a pet when the HSUS says the animals are available?? Also from zootoo.com - very informative. 700 Animals Rescued in Tenn.'s Largest Puppy Mill Bust -- ZooToo Pet News by Robin Wallace

| Update I'm not sure if anyone posted an update of this story or not but the owner did surrender the dogs hoping to avoid criminal charges. She specialized in small breed dogs including Yorkies. As of yesterday volunteers were still needed. The dogs will be going to multiple shelters including Nashville and Atlanta and should be up for adoption very soon. If you are interested in adopting or volunteering services you can call 1-866-304-3352. I'll let everyone know when I get more info.
