| Petzlife dental ??? I have been using dental wipes for Gizmo, but I know I miss a lot of places. I have heard great things about the Petzlife dental products, but I have a lot of questions. It's rather pricey, so I want to make sure I am choosing the right things to order. What is the difference between the gel and the spray? For a puppy is it really necessary to get both? If the gel, which flavor? Salmon or original? How do you use these products, how often, etc...? Is this the best product to use with a teething puppy or is there a better one? Your experiences and impressions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

| So you use the gel in the morning and the spray before bedtime? Is that daily? Thank you so much for answering my questions. Have you tried the original flavor? Does that smell better? If I have to choose one or the other...the gel or the spray...which would you recommend?

Therapy Dog Donating Member | HI Judy - how's Gizzy? OK - anyway I just got the salmon flavor and Izzy hates it - but instead of being out the $25 Luna's and Izzy's mom told me to take the salmon gel and smoosh it into the toothbrush and then put his favorite CET Poultry flavor on top of that and it does work. When I get another bottle of the Petzlife I will get the original flavor and see if Izzy likes that better. I'm just now trying to get her used to my fingers and a toothbrush into her mouth. I have not tried the spray but that is a good idea as well. Hope that helps!....

| Thanks for the info. Yep, the sassypup free shipping is still good according to the website. And if you buy the gel and spray you get a great discount. Hummm...guess it's the original gel for sure...still trying to decide on the spray. I appreciate your advice.

| So far, yes it's the cheapest IF you consider the free shipping. I can't find this product locally. I'm still researching though, so if you find a better price, please send me a pm.

| Hi Judy, I just received both the original flavor spray/gel from Sassypup.com last week... Izzie isn't too fond of me spraying the spray in her mouth, and she will somewhat tolerate me putting the gel in her mouth....I'm sure in time she will get used to the routine of morning spray/nightly gel....she is still teething so if I miss a dose here or there I'm not too worried, but once all her adult teeth are in I will really knuckle down

| Thanks, I think that's my plan. Just the original gel for now and then when it's time for a new order, get both. It all depends on how well Gizmo tolerates it. I normally don't have much trouble wiping his teeth, but with his recent soreness due to teething, he won't let me wipe well right now. Gizmo is really teething...some of them are really frustrating him as they come out, so I'm a little worried about the bits of blood I see from time to time. My hope is that this will help keep the bacteria at bay.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I use the original gel on Ruby's teeth. Her teeth are in excellent condition and she doesn't have bad breath either. The original gel smells like mint to me. I put it on a Q-tip, then spread it around on her teeth. I've never tried the spray, but think it would be more convenient than the gel. I just didn't want to go to the expense of both, as little as is used. And, I wasn't sure about the shelf life and didn't want to have to trash it because of expiration dates.

| I got the original gel. Brody does not like it at all. He spends a good half hour running around rubbing his head/mouth on things trying to get the taste out. He won't let me put anything in his mouth. So we do the put it on his lips and let him lick it up method. I'm also using it on our two cats, Lil'man and Chloe. Chloe has a fit and hides after her treatment. Lil'man will try to get away, but he's lazy and doesn't try too hard. He's actually the best at the treatments. I dab some on his lips to lick then take a soft toothbrush and try to get as many teeth as I can before he spazes too much. We've been using it for 2+ weeks now. Lil'man's teeth are loosing some of the tarter build up. Hopefully we'll get results like the pics and we can avoid doing a full dental cleaning. I really hate the idea of putting my babes under. /crosses fingers
