| very concerned about urinating hi, i have been noticing this week, my sammy goes outside in the morning and makes a big pee-pee , then comes in, and about 1/2 hour later has to go back outside to make a small amount of pee-pee. he has never done this before, he is 2 years old. he usually goes out in the morning and goes and then later on in the day goes out again, but not like this. do you think i have to be concerned about this and does he a vet to check him? are there any signs i should look for and do you know what this can be? otherwise he is healthy and active and running around. thanks so much for your knowledge elle |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Could be a urinary tract infection. My vet just has me bring in a urine sample and tests it. Then gives meds if needed. Or maybe he just doesn't empty his bladder completely the first time.

| For assurance, you can take him to the vet and have them take a urine sample and culture in case he does have a UTI. That way they can prescribe the correct antibiotics.

| I guess I'll have to take mine to the vet too. He drinks not stop, and pees non stop. Maybe it is some kind of infection. Anyone know anything about these infections?
