| Missing Link When is a good time to start adding the Missing Link supplement into Bella's diet? Should I wait until she is a year old? She is 8 months old now. I feed dry food to her so how do you get them to eat it? If you use it,what kind of a difference did you see? Thanks for the advice! |

| I am so glad that you posted this! I would like some advice as well. I was researching some Missing Link threads earlier, but I haven't come across anything discussing age yet.

| I started Emma on it when she was around 7 months old You can put it in a little organic lowfat yogurt or lowfat cottage cheese. My aunt just started her yorkies on it about a month ago and she says their coats are a lot shinier now and their coats look more beautiful.

| Here are a couple of websites I know you can get it at. Since I've never ordered it myself yet I'm not sure what the best one is. http://www.petfooddirect.com/store/petproducts.asp? http://www.petedge.com |

| We just got Ellie Missing Link. I wanted to go with the Vegetarian formula and they don't sell that at many stores so we called Missing Link and they gave the name of a supplier, KV Vet Supply. It was $10.95 for 1 pound with shipping waived because it was our first order.

| I don't know if they have to be one year old before they start taking it. I was just asking if anyone else knew before I ordered it. I wasn't sure if it was ok for a puppy to start taking it or not. What does everyone else think? |

| Is it a supplement like nutracal, or is specifically for their coats?

| Nutrical has a very high sugar content and should not be used on a regular basis, only when necessary. For example, if your dog is having a hypoglycemic episode or if your puppy has not been eating well, and you can't get him to eat anything, so you give him a little nutrical to prevent a hypoglycemic episode. Missing link, on the other hand, is a supplement that is good for their health and is high in essential fatty acids, therefore causing the dog to have a very healthy looking coat. It's not specifically for their coats, it's for overall health.
