| Fully grown??? Hi everyone! I just wanted to ask: approximately when do Yorkies stop growing? My puppy is 5 mths. old and she has stayed at 2.8 lbs. for 6 weeks now. The vet weighed her 3 times within the last 6 weeks... She eats very well and is healthy, accordng to our vet. Do they stop growing for awhile and then start gaining again? I'm kinda woried b/c she nees to get spayed and I know that the smaller the dog, the more problems there can be with surgery . Any input? |

| Phew! That's good to hear! I'm hoping she'll reach at least 4 lbs. I would be paranoid all the time if she stayed too small. |

| Mine both stopped growing at about 1 year in terms of height and length. They kept gaining a little weight for a little while longer. |

| Ive heard it is actually better to get them spayed/fixed at a younger age b/c they bounce back a lot quicker. We are getting Izzy spayed in a couple weeks and she is 5 months and weighes 3 pounds.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Bella stopped growing at 6 months (frame wise) weight, she didnt stop til about 10 months to a year. Sound like everyone else was about a year so now Im confused lol I am kinda happy though cuz Diggy is holding strong at just over 3 pounds and 5.5 months old, I really wanted him to get 7+ but at this rate .... doesnt look like thats gonna happen but if some have grown til they were a year my hopes just went back up!
