Mixing Dog Food?? - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Does anyone give their baby 2 different dog foods and mix them half and half? Is this ok to do? I feed Reeses Natural Balance Potato and Duck but sometimes he eats it real picky and other times he will just scarf it down. I was thinking about trying Life's Abundance but kinda wanted to stick w/ Natural Balance also so I thought I might could mix them half and half. Any ideas or advice??

Actually I have 3 mixed at one time

I was switching Harley from Innova to Wellness and mixed the last half of Innova with the new Wellness.... well he didn't care for the Wellness too good and I had already mixed it up so I then went and bought Canidae which he really loves. I mixed some of that in with the other and am just now running out and he will be on straight Canidae......

Mine get a dry mixture of Canidae and Artemis. Then once a day I mix in Evangers wet.

Where do you get Canidae? I have heard alot of people talk about Canidae but have never found it in pet stores yet. Is it something you have to order like Lifes Abundance? I cant find it anywhere either except ordering online. Is Canidae and Lifes Abundance both a really good food like Natural Balance if not better??

Canidae is one of the top rated foods. I have one place here in town I can find it. If you go on their website you can put in your zipcode to find a place near you... or you might have to order it... from somewhere like Petfooddirect.com.

I mixed Bogey's last dog food ( chickensoup for doglovers soul) with new Merricks dry dog food. I have a golden retriever & yorkie that I decided would be great to be on the same good dog food. I put them on Merricks & they both loved it. Since then,when Bogey eats , he separates his chicken soup from his Merricks & doesn't eat it. It stays on the tile in the kitchen !! FUNNNY

Thats pretty much the way Harley would do. He would pick out the Canidae and Innova and leave the Wellness for a while until he realized he was still hungry and he wasn't getting anything else

apollos breeder fed him iams smart puppy small breed and eukanuba puppy small breed , so ive just kept him on that, ive thought about switching hm but never did

Zoey gets Canidae. I have a small bag of Purina puppy chow that I mix in 2/3 Canidae 1/3 Purina puppy chow. Just for variety. She spits out the Canidae all over my floor and eats the puppy chow. When she finishes all the Puppy chow, she finally eats the Canidae. My dog definately has "beer taste."

She also turned her nose up at expensive doggie buscuits. I bought some with apples and carrots and all this stuff. She prefers generic! We started calling her "joe dirt"

i have mixed 3 also. @ different variety of FROMMS and Canidae. Looking th switch to the Natural Balance allergy formula. Diezel itches like crazy.
