Are they're other types of worms besides tapeworms and ringworm that yorkies can get? I went to wash my dogs pet beds and found three brown worms in it. They were curled up but probably just under half an inch long. I have put one of the worms in a baggie to take to the vet tomorrow. I have both my yorkies on Heartguard.

I think my vet mentioned hook worm (or was it whip worm) once - but I think that worm is only in certain geographic areas.

Could the worms have came inside your house from outside.
We have little brown worms outside on the cement right now because of all the rain we have down here. it rains just about every day in the summer.

I was thinking the same thing. Dogs love to eat the dried worms from on the sidewalk. Could she have brought them in off the patio?
