| Hydromet For Trachea Collapse Has Anyone Given Their Yorkie Hydromet For Trachea Collapse? I Am Not Familar With This Drug -but The Vet Says It Is Hydro Codone Which Is A Narcotic... I Need More Info On The Med If Anyone Has Given To Their Dog. Also Dosage Info. I Am Inquiring On Dosage Information Because The Vet Prescribed 2 1/2 Cc Twice A Day. Well With Me Being Uneasy About Giving My Little 7 Lb Dog That Much Med I Only Gave Her 1/2 Of A Cc. Approximately 6-8 "drops" And I Noticed An Amazing Difference In Her Breathing. I Don't Know If This Drug Will Effect Her Kidneys... Or How Much Longer She Will Live With Her Trachea Problems. We Currently Cannot Be At The Vet For Longer Than 10 Minutes Because Of Her Trachea Collapse Being So Severe. She Literally Turns Blue And We Have Almost Lost Her 2 Times At The Vet. Appreciate Any Info Anyone Has Greatly! :-) |
