| I would think he is much too young for adult food since he is only 10 wks. old. Best to stick with puppy food and separate them when it is feeding time. Good luck.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hmmm, keep a very, very close eye on this. This was EXACLTY what Marcel experienced before diagnosed w/ giarda, which can be quite common in pups bc their immune system cannot get rid of it w/out meds. Giardia can get nasty very quickly and can actually kill puppies, so if the diarrhea worsens, persists and/or if there is ANY blood in it, get the pup in asap. Diarrhea is also very dehydrating in young pups. Not to scare you, but at that age - they can go downhill very quicky, even when they seem fine.

| I would take a stool sample to the vet for testing. If everything comes back normal, it may be what you're feeding him. Adult food is not a problem (one of my yorkies never ate puppy food), but the BRAND may be a problem. What brand of dog food are you feeding him?? |

| Purina One (puppy & healthy weight) Also giving 1tsp cottage cheese for breakfast w/ fish oil on it....... chews real beef bones that the older dogs are done with, today his poo isnt AS runny - maybe it was the piece of cheese he found on the kitchen floor - is a dog lactose intolerant ?!?! |

| Could be ie lactose intolerant. Sophie could not eat cottage cheese or any milk product or her tummy would go sideways. Perhaps plain yogurt would be a better choice than cottage cheese. Good luck and glad his poopies were better today.

| MANY dogs are allergic to dairy products. I would definately leave out the dairy and see if that helps. |
