| For allergies, you're going to want to go with "exotic" ingredients that the dog has never experienced before. Honestly, I truly believe that Natural Balance is the best allergy food on the market. California Natural *might* work, but I would go with the lamb, not the chicken, since she's probably been feeding a food with chicken in it already. But then you run the risk of the dog potentially being allergic to rice, since it's probably eaten rice in the past. All the other allergy foods have too many grains so I really would not recommend any other brands. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have Cali on California Natural for her allergies. My vet said to get a food that had one novel protein (nit a common one like chicken and beef) and 1 carbohydrate which California Natural has. I am using the Lamb and Rice kind. Cali's scratching a little less.

| Thanks! She had her yorkie on Hill's I/D before, but didn't really like the ingredients (dog was not having allergies on this food though) then switched to another dog food, and we've narrowed it down to the fact that it's probably this food. What do you guys think of Canidae or Innova?? Do those foods have too many grains also?

| Life Abundance Dog Food!!! MY GIRLS LOVE IT!! I have found the BEST dog food!! It is all healthy, human grade and made fresh every week in Florida. All the ingredients are made or produced in America. It is also delivered to your door which is really conveninent. No more sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long!! My girls just love it. I was using the Eagle Pack which is also good and i gave them a choice. They are gobbling up this new food. No Grains, No Wheat products, no By-Products! They love it and it has the tiny kibbles which is great for our little babies mouths. They have never felt better and their hair is getting so shiny & silky plus they have more energy and feel like puppies again! I am sooooooooo excited about this, especially with all the recalls that i am becoming a distributor of it!! If anyone wants a free sample, you can click through my signature below. There is a s/h charge but you get a pack of food and a vitamin to try. There is also a comparison to some of the most popular dog foods on the website which will compare the ingredients for you. If you have any questions, i'll be happy to help out. Like i said, my girls are all loving it soooooo much and they are SOOOOOOOOOOO picky!! I have not had to even put anything else in their kibbles to coax them to eat it. I didn't mean this to be so long but i just love this food for my girls!! Even if you don't get this food for your babies, PLEASE, PLEASE read the labels and stay away from wheat, corn (both worthless fillers) and by-products. Your babies lives depend on it!! |

| Fufu Fashions: Wow, thanks for that review!! I was thinking of suggesting Life's Abundance to my aunt also. I'll definitely have to tell her now I'll send her the link you provided in your signature. I really appreciate it. LuvMySissy: Thanks also for the review I had considered this food for my maltese, Emma, but ended up homecooking for her instead. My aunt on the other hand does not have the time to homecook, so this may be an option for her.

| I think Raw or Freeze Dried Raw would be the best way to go for allergies. Raw is grain-free. I feed Nature's Variety Raw in rabbit and venison. I think those two are considered "wilder" meats and the wilder the meat, the less chance a dog is allergic to it.

| Innova Evo is grain free. Also, there is an all natural supplement called Dinovite that is supposed to be real good for allergy symptoms. |

| I second Innova EVO. Then there's the Science Prescription Diet Z/D which can only be obtained from a vet.

| The only problem with Innova Evo is that it has chicken, which her yorkie may be allergic to. Maybe give Innova Evo Red Meat a try if you wanna try Innova Evo. |
