| It is allergy season. Mine are itching also. I have given them a little Benedryl and it seems to help. I have also given them oatmeal baths. If this does not help, you may have to look at the food she is eating. Something may not be agreeing with her. Good luck!

| You may wish to check her food. Jaden has food allergies and if I put him on a food with corn in it he will itch like mad. He's on Canidae now and it works great for him and we ahveb't had any itchy problems. You could also look at your shampoos, if they have laurel sulfate in them, that can cause itching as well. |

| I agree with joy...It could be the food. Maybe your baby has developed an allergy to one/some of the ingredients. If not, maybe he needs a mild shampoo. Good luck!! If it's the food or shampoo, benadryl will only mask the problem and you won't find out the underlying cause. But it might help stop the itching until you find out what's making her itch.

In addition, Benadryl will not stop the problem if it's food related only put the symptoms in remission, briefly. My 10lb Shih Tzu needs this only in the spring and he gets 1 tsp every pm until June. Good luck!
