bella usually poops 2-3 times a day...but today she only pooped once??? is that ok...should i be worried. i only ask bc we had to go to the vet th eother day because when she pooped her butt bled.....thanks in advance everyone!!

Holly did that one time but she was back to normal the next day. Depending on what she eats she usually does it once in the morning and one at night. On occasion she does go three times. See how she does tomorrow. I know how you feel. Remember the cigarette issue. I was soo looking forward to her poop. I couldn't believe I was actually wanting her to poop. LOL. Keep us posted.

For a dog as small as Autumn she will poop 4 or 5 times a day. I am amazed by that. She only eats twice a day (1/4 cup each time) so I dont know where it comes from. My pug though only poops once a day. Thats it. Every morning and he is done until the next day.

well...i got 2 poops out of bella today...so i am very happy!! is it normal as a dog gets older to poop less???????

It may be. But I am glad you got two poops. LOL.

She may have been dehydrated - and if her poops were "hard", she may have had to strain, causing the bleed. Maybe keep an eye on her water and add extra water to her kibble or her canned food.
