| sore from scratching Dixie is almost 6 months old and has allergies and scratches a lot and I am trying to correct this problem, but it's not going as fast as I would like it too. As I was giving her her bath today I noticed under her front arm pits it's staring to get red from scratching and I was wondering what I can put on it that is safe. I hope some one can help me out. | Red sore spot Thanks,...............I am taking both your advice. I first have to have a blood test for her allergies at a cost of 350.00 and I am trying to find a vet that will do it cheaper. Than they will make up a serum that I will have to give her every week, might be very expensive. Looking for other alternatives as well. Right now she is taking antihistamine pills that don't help a whole lot. I will use a small amount of the Neosporin I just happen to have. Ginny Last edited by Ginny Merry; 04-18-2007 at 06:17 PM. |

| If it's a food allergy then you can easily find the source, but if it's any other allergy, then that will be difficult and she may need to see a Vet. Do you have a Holistic Vet. near you? |

| Red sore spots I wish I did have a holistic vet near me, I live close to Memphis and there are tons of vets there but I can't tell if they are Holistic or not. Don't think it's food related. The vet didn't think it was. She is 6months old and when I got her at 8 weeks she was already scratching some. Last edited by Ginny Merry; 04-18-2007 at 06:34 PM. |
