| Timberwolf When I contacted them via email and explained why I was contacting them (for a sample), they emailed me back and told me I could order their samples offline. When I looked online it was a 12.oo shipping cost or free if I buy 15.00 worth of stuff first. Just so you know..

| Samples for Free or almost.... Quote:
You can also get a good size free bag of Froms (a weeks worth) of trial food in different flavours. Just ask the staff, they may even have some in the back. I just mentioned that I'm thinking of changing brands and they offered me samples. I chose fromms and orijen. They had others but i just stuck to these because I'd done some research on them already. I came home with 8 packs of of Froms, and a couple of Orijen and I didn't have to wait for anyone to ship me anything. So check out your local pet shop (not the big stores the small shops, the service is excellent and the staff know their products). I've been doing some research. I'm not a planner for buying on home delivery... more like, oops I need some food sometime this week and when convenient I'll pop in. So for me it has to be at a pet food shop. The research of the pet foods available are that these two brands are pretty good. I've started my girl on Fromms and use Orijen for snacks right now. She loves both. Her stool is smaller and she's feeling good. I wanted to find a brand that used pet food that was human grade food with no fillers and no antibiotics etc... I think I've got a good start with either of these two products. Do you think? Good luck. BTW thanks for posting these reviews. Be sure to check the FDA recall list frequently for updates. | |

| Merrick pet food is great! My Jackson just loves Merrick. They have so many flavors to try. Jackson's favorites are Grammys pot pie, puppy plate and turdurken. All the food is natural and no by-products! I mix a small portion of the wet with the dry food and he licks his bowl clean. |

| I am curious as why you did not mention Innova. I have not heard anything regarding any recall and it is as I understand premium dog food. Tina |

| I heard about this dog food through a Yorkie owner ( I am not sure if he used to breed but he had quite a few Yorkies) on another list. I was frantic in searching for a healthy and safe food my my two Yorkies during the contaminated dog food scare of last winter. That time of year was my busy season and I was trying to cook food for them and freeze it so food was ready for them every day. But of course home cooking is a life in itself in that you really have to know how much of what to feed them to keep them healthy. Not like opening up a bag of dog food. Well when this Innova was brought to my attention I reviewed the contents before buying (as I had bought several times only to have to change again because more and more food were on the recall list) . It has no buy products and most of all it did not contain that "rice protein" that was a major contaminant during the scare. It does have ground rice but not the additive rice protein. So if you hear anything to the contrary please let me know cause I am always looking for the best for my kiddies. Thanks Tina |

| Thanks for the information. I know what you mean. I will let you know if I hear anything different. I was doing research on Fromm. Its also a family owned business like Merrick. No by-products all natural.
