| Food Expiration ? Ok so I have a question... my father in law was kind enough to bring back from his trip some Chicken Soup Dog food, however, as curious and cautious as I am I flipped the bag over and looked at the date on the UPC and it said Best By: 16MAR07... meaning march 16,2007 right? Well we are April 1,2007 today so does this mean the food is bad? I got a buy one get one free thing and I have (2) 18lb bags now and I am so very worried that they are both bad....should I contact Diamond Foods... they have a satisfaction Guarantee.. I can't go back to this place where it was bought since it is 3 hours away but I do have the recipt showing it was purchased Saturday... any ideas guys.. I'm so worried now and out $$ too. |

| I would definitely call the store, they shouldn't be stocking stuff that is out of date, and I would email the dog food manufacturerer too, couldn't hurt. That really sucks they did that with you so far away! I doubt it is bad, but it certainly isn't fresh...they should make this right for you.

| You're doing good by not feeding it to your furbaby. One time when we bought Miko's prescription dog food, we didn't check the expiration date. Well, we served him a bowl and he refused to eat it...We checked the expiration date and noticed that it had been expired for months!! He wouldn't even touch it, and he usually likes his food. Needless to say, we returned it. Why would they have a dog food on the shelves that's been expired or will expire in days?
