Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I feed lex and lulu a scrambled egg maybe once or twice a month. The love it and it gives a bit extra protein in their diet. I dont' do it much more because I don't want to 1) give them bad habits of begging for table food and 2) I worry that it will be too much protein and cause problems.

| We homecook for Punkin and she has an egg every once and a while. The vet told us no more than once a week. It should be cooked throughly - so scrambling works easily for this. Punkin weighs 8.5 pounds and we give her a large egg in place of her protein for that particualr meal.

| How much protein should they have? I've been (very stupidly) giving mine egg about 3 times a week. But I do squish up a boiled egg and divide it among the 3 of them. Maybe its ok, come to about 1 egg each weekly. Certainly don't won't to do anything to hurt my babies out of my ignorance. |

| i do! i give all my adult dogs some egg every day. The showw breeder I got Silk from ( shows, maltese, yorkies and poodles) gave me a boiled egg, can of ceser's and a bag of dry food when i picked her up. I asked why the egg and she said it is good for theeir coats. So, even tho I don't show or anything, I have always done it. didn't want to change silk's diet and felt it wasn't fair to give it to her and not the others. SO, what i do now is boil six eggs, put them in the food processor, put them in tupperwware in the fridge. When I give them breakfast, I add about a teaspoon of egg to each plate. They love it. i don't know if it helps their coats or not. i don't see any difference. but is is good protein for them. |

| Kacee gets scrambled eggs. I'm glad you posted this, because I haven't given her any for awhile and she loves them. So I guess I'll surprise her tonight.

| Hubby loves boiled eggs so we always have them in fridge. Its so funny to watch Max sit next to hubby and watch as he takes one off the plate and sloooowwwwllyy puts it in his mouth. Max just sits there and if he doest share he will look at me "Mom dad wont share" Its so funny and Hubby does do it on purpose. They are both nuts. |

| Scrambled every Sunday, but we don't add butter or oil. Just use a teflon pan so they don't stick. Vet told us not to add anything to the eggs. And they love them!!! |
