| Heart Murmur ??? I saw somewhere that someone was giving away a furbaby because they say she has a heart murmur? Doe that sound right or do you all think it's worse than that. They are saying they won't guarantee health. I'm just wondering cause it does sound a bit fishy??? They area an older couple and sometimes I guess they can be worse, lol... I spoke with a breeder who was going to charge me over $800 for a furbaby that already had cateracts at 10 weeks old so I'm kinda wondering you know... Any help is appreciated! Thank you!! XOXOXOXOXO Michele |

| Hi Michele, If it were me, I'd keep looking. These little ones are complicated enough without starting out their life with you with a health problem. Unless you're prepared for the vet bills and the heartache that can result (and there are some folks that CAN handle that, bless them!) then I'd pass on both dogs. Just my Good luck in your search! There are lots of terrific breeders right here at YT

| $800 is a high price to pay for a pup with health problem already showing. They should be adopted out to couples who can afford the onwards medical care. I know some people have big hearts. If I have high income and I can afford the vet bill after, I'd save them but there aren't many people who could do that.If not, look for a healthy pup. It'd save you money and heartache in the long run.Just my opinion.

| Thank you so very much! I did pass on the one dog but I was thinking if it's only a heart murmur I might be alright with that. My skin son has one of those and is alright. I'm in no rush for a furbaby. Although I would love to have one . I figure when the time is right my furbaby will come into my life XOXOXOXOX Michele Quote:

| I agree, with the price people are paying for these little guys, they better have a clean bill of health. Regarding the heart murmur, they can be serious and require medication, but I have an 11 year old cocker who has had a heart murmur her whole life and has never had any problems whatsoever. She's healthy, energetic, and has never required meds for it. |

| I thought the same thing! I don't have a lot of money but I love these dogs so much! I have wanted one my whole life, lol...I figured since the one is free and if a heart murmur isn't such a big deal than perhaps we'd be alright. Thank you for your comments! I do appreciate it! XOXOXOXO Michele Maybe if the heart murmur is mild, this could be the dog for you! Would they let you take the dog to your own vet to get checked out, and find out how much the medicine would be? Just a thought

| My toy poodle had a heart murmur all his life and lived to the ripe old age of 17 with no problems with his heart. Just an example, can't say it would be the same with the one you're looking at. LunnasMomma has a good suggestion. |
