I Have Noticed That When My Baby Pees In The Floor, (yea Hasnt Happened In A Week) It Turns Oily And Sticky, But Now The Hair Around His Puppy Man Hood Is Sticky And Oily, Does That Mean Somethings Wrong, Or Does He Needs His Hair Trimmed And He Just Needs A Bath? He Gets A Bath Every 3 Days To No More Than A Week, Its Just So Cold, But Anyway I Was Just Wondering If Its Normal To Have Oily Sticky Pee Or Is Something Wrong? Sorry If This Is A Silly Question, But This Is My First Furbaby, Or House Dog. Thanks Guys

I'm not sure what that could be. I know that when urine is sticky or like syrup in humans that could be signs of diabetes. Not sure if that is a complication for dogs also. Does he drink a lot of water or seems to be thirsty?

I'm sure someone else will be able to suggest some other things. I'm
not sure what that could be. Hope you find an answer soon. It's always best to take them to the vet to have it checked out.

You Know I Fill His Water Every Day To Every Other Day And He Seems To Drink Alot How Do I Have Him Checked To See If He Has Diabetes? Or I Should Say What Does The Vet Do? He Goes Back In Next Week Do Ill Ask Then To, Thanks

As the urine evaporates, it will leave an oily spot that is sticky. Doesn't mean there is something wrong with your dog. Since we've had Dallas, I find these nasty spots everywhere!

That has been my experience also. If you don't find them (the spots) right away they do tend to get this way after time.

My little dog had some incontinence - because she was a an older spayed female (only 8 though) --- but she also had diabetes. She never actually pee'd - but she began to "leak." She hated this because she was so well trained.

Anyway - she got diabetes - and her urine was definitely "sticky"...... If I didn't know it was there and stepped on it - my foot would start sticking to the floor.

You should talk to the vet about it, and they can do a blood test for diabetes if it sounds necessary. If your Yorkie drinks a lot of water and has accidents, that could mean diabetes, which you can control with insulin shots.
