| I give my dogs Lanatone, which is a fatty acid supplement, every day. I had the same problem and within a week it was gone. You can order it from Dog.com. |

| Can you give her Omega 3&6 supplements? That helps with dry skin. Some foods have it in them too. Loki is on Canidae and that has Omega 3 in it. What food are you feeding? Have you tried Merrick canned food? Loki happily eats his Canidae but when I give him the Merrick he acts like he won the lottery, jumps up and down, dances in cirlces and then chows down.

| Linatone works for dry skin because it is a fatty acid supplement, but it comes from soybean which is a cheap form of it. Missing Link or Derm Caps is a better source, but since all of them are high in Vitamin A I would definitely get an okay from the vet first since she is pregnant. I would think it is showing a Vitamin deficiency though, especially since you say she is a picky eater, it could also be a zinc deficiency. For the health of her and the pups I would talk to a vet about putting her on a multivitamin as soon as possible and really work on getting her to eat a premium puppy formula food (don't recommend this for most pregnancies because a premium puppy food provides what they need and it is possible to overdose on Vitamin A.) |
