Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Shaking as if wet? Since we left on vacation and returned, I notice Eddie has been occasionally stopping and shaking his whole body as if he was sopping wet and trying to dry off. The only problem is, he's dry as a bone. He does it maybe once a day and doesn't show any other symptoms of an ear infection or anything. His ears don't smell foul, and he was deemed healthy at his annual checkup right before we went on vacation. Should I ignore this, or is it something I should point out to the vet? He seems healthy and happy as ever other than the occasional shake.

| Maybe it's being back in the cooler clime of Alaska after the heat of the South? He might have got sunburnt too? and that could be making him feel a bit weird. Hope he's feeling ok, otherwise!

| Cali does this sometimes, too.. usually its right after I pet on her for a long time and her hair is right on her body..she does it to fluff up a bit..or right after a nap..I dont think its any cause for concern..

| I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts being all the time that he is shaking. Diamond does it every now and then. Usually she just does it if she is sad/upset or cold. Sometimes when I leave her in the kitchen with the baby gate, she starts shaking. I think she just does it to get my attention so she can come out! Stinker!

| I think that just might be it, Mike! You clipped him right before you left, and it's possible that as Eddie's fur grows out, he feels as though it is out of place and he is trying to arrange it! Good luck, hope that's all it is! Did you check for tics?
