| Lucinda Wont Eat! Lucinda is 4 months old. Her stomach is growling so loudly this morning but she won't eat anything. She took her treat into her mouth but spit it out. Is this part of teething. Yesterday I gave her her first Heart Guard tablet. Could that have made her ill? Since we have not seen her poop recently (she has a dog door and goes out on her own) my husband is taking her to the vet. Do you think that she won't eat because she is teething?[/B][/B] |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hi It could be both teething and the heart guard. I switched my dogs to a topical hearworm, Revolution because one of mine would not feel well after it. I would check with the vet to be sure.

| I've never noticed mine not eating during teething. Here is the adverse reactions for Heart Guard, it does mention anorexia. ADVERSE REACTIONS: In clinical field trials with HEARTGARD Plus, vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of dosing was rarely observed (1.1% of administered doses). The following adverse reactions have been reported following the use of HEARTGARD: Depression/lethargy, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, mydriasis, ataxia, staggering, convulsions and hypersalivation. |

| Lucinda Is Okay Thank you for your replies. We took little Lucinda to the vet and she ran a bunch of tests on her. She checked out fine and was great last night. Ate her supper and ran around the house as usual! SO cute. |

| Hi, When Preston was a baby and first came home with us he wasn't eating. What I did was give him Nutracal so that I knew he was getting nutrients. Also, mix honey with water and give him about 10cc for extra calories. I'd also mix a little bit ot water and nutracal with his food and that really worked well. Good Luck!
