| What Human Foods do you Feed your babies I have seen that alot of people feed their babies organic, but I am not for sure what all is healthy for them or how to fix it. I am currently feeding science diet and occasionally fixing my baby a scrambled egg. I am looking for some more suggestions about what to give him. He is 13 weeks and I only want the best for my baby. This is my first yorkie and really enjoy reading everyones enthusiasm and help for others. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

| Not sure I can help much since I don't cook for Sissy. But she occasionally gets small snippets of cheese and she LOVES papaya, mango and coconut.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Feeding I don't per say cook special meals for Lex. I feed him Nutro Dry Puppy Food. I will occasionally add some white rice or if I grill chicken I will cut up a piece for him. I do give him pieces of raw veggies and fruits to eat when I am chopping them. Once in a while I will give him a scrambled egg. Someone will add their info on cooking. A lot of folks do strictly cook food for their doggies.

| Tucker gets way too much people food. He usually gets a taste of whatever I'm eating! Cheese is his favorite snack. He inhales it! But I have yet to find something he WON'T eat, especially if it drops on the floor. He grabs it, runs and swallows it before I know it's hit the floor.

| Lots of people are saying "fruits and veggies", but specifically (sp?) what do you give them? I mean are there any fruits or vegetables that could be harmful to them? I need Yorkies for dummies. |

| I boil chiken and brown rice for Scooter and mix it up. Scooter likes carrots (boiled...and very thin slivers if not boiled) and green beans (cold or warm). He has had a turkey burger and I've tried tiny bits of cottage cheese and scrambled egg whites - he eats those, but he doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm. He eats dry dog food too. He's not too fussy. And, he will do anything...and I mean ANYTHING for cheese. He gets tiny pieces of cheese as rewards.

| Oscar does not get very much people food. But every once in awhile I will give him a special treat. He likes scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, velveeta cheese, apples, bananas & potatoes. Otherwise he eats Royal Canin for Yorkies. For treats, he gets Chicken jerkey. That is the only doggie treat he likes.

| My puppy gets chicken, steak, carrots, brocoli, asparagus. She does not seem to like bananas. She had salmon in the past, but her stomach has become sensitive to it. My bf has given her scallops too and she loved them. She has had oranges mixed in with her chicken and seemed to like it too. She has a sweet tooth and I know I should'nt give this to her, but on occasion she gets a little bit of my cinnamon roll.

| My friend has been showing and breeding Afghian for many years...she makes Liver cake for her dogs...when i got my little boy she gave me some...not only do they love it, but it is also great for tranning, as it has a very strong smell of garlic...only little bits though cause too much will upset their stomach...and my 2 love weetabix, and a little bits of cheese.... claire

| We eat alot of home cooked foods but also supliment with kibble (flint river ranch). We eat ground chuck, chicken, sweet potoatoes, brown rice, egg, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, carrots, green beans, peas, oatmeal. We are still learning about home cooked meals. We are going to a holistic vet today to talk about nutrition. we also eat wellness biscuits. Mommy is guilty of letting us lick vanilla icecream. Of course little chance will eat ANYTHING he can reach. I caught him with cucumber once. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | LOL...I actually read yorkies for dummies. I give him any fruits and veggies we are eating. I think it is up to the indiviudal dog. Just like kids they might prefer one thing or another. Lex gets carrots, spuds, broccoli, pease, apples, peaches, pears...essentially whatever it is that I am preparing for the gang.
