Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Aggression after Spaying?? Ok so I normally don't post that much...but we have never been through the whole spaying process and have lots of questions...Magic has been doing great today on bedrest, even though it is not what she wants....but we gave her a greenie this afternoon as a little treat and when we tried to take it away after a while, she tried to bite me and got really aggressive...it is not like her at all and really shocked us...plus when we let Sailor come see her, Magic seems really aggressive towards her as well, trying to growl/bite at her...does anyone know if this is normal behavior post surgery or is this something more serious we need to address?? We don't want her to continue this behavior.....

| I have heard that any animal can become aggressive if they are hurting. She might just not be feeling too well and just wants to be left alone. I bet you will see a new sweeter side to her in a day or so.

| IMHO I would not be in the best of spirits after going thru a major operation such as spaying or neutering LOL. Give him or her a little space for healing for a few days and everything will be back to normal in no time. S/W |

| Don't worry , Magic will be back to her own personality in a few day . I know well , Shania have been spayed a few days ago and the was a little aggressive for almost 3 days . I called her " The little Devil " . I placed a little plush basket in my room where she spent most of her time sleeping . I only saw her when she came out for eating and going on the pee pad . |
