| Frontline vs Frontline Plus I would like to hear what people use for flea/tick protection. Also, if you buy it online, which site has the best price? As always, thanks in advance for your feedback.

My furkids Donating Member | fleas....yuck! I don't use frontline. I feel it is too strong. My Mom read in the dog journal that they tested a dogs saliva and it showed up in the dogs saliva. I use advantage. It is a topical flea repellent...This worked for my little Sadie

| Lil Bear can't do frontline plus her skin broke out and she was itching. The dose was too big so I was giving her half the vial every other month. I have now switched back to frontline top spot for both Lil Bear and Moose. I think part of the reason Lil Bear had a reaction is that eventhough my old vet said it was ok to use it on lil bear even if her weight wasn't listed on the small size box I turned out to be tooo strong.

| I no longer use frontline or any flea/tick product on my dogs. It is basically a pesticide your putting on them. I wonder about cancer etc... in their future from it. I grew up with 2 dogs one lived til she was 16 and the other 18. We never used any pesticides on them. My vet and I talked about it, and he agreed it's nasty stuff. He said he only does an application to his own dogs if they get fleas. My dogs don't typically stay outside real long~ Tessa did had a couple ticks last year, we just removed them. If your area has deer ticks obviously it is probably necessary. Kara |

| I've used Frontline Plus on all my "kids" and have never had a problem or a flea. I will start them on it again for the summer tomorrow and continue until the first freeze in the fall. I have found it's cheaper at JeffersPet.com than anywhere else I've looked. Almost $30.00 cheaper than at my Vet's office.
