spray the hard food with a water mist bottle and sprinkle grated cheese on it the food not too much just to add flavor they will love it kayko just ate a whole bowl of food he loves his cheese

You are aware that dogs are lactose intolerant, right? I don't know how good cheese could be for them

The breeder has me feeding our 9 wk old 1 tsp dry, mixed with 1 tsp wet, mixed with 1 tsp cottage cheese and she is fine. She loves the cottage cheese. The first meal we gave her we didn't have it yet and she didn't like it as she is used to the cottage cheese mixed in.

My vet said that string cheese, in small quantities, is a great treat for Yorkies. It's worked really well so far while I'm teaching Sophie to sit.

i actually am lactose intolerant i would know if they were having prob im not to sure if dogs are we have always given our dogs cheese like the kraft single slices thats the one people food that they got most often

Often you may not know that your dog is susceptible until he is very sick with his first attack. As breed predispositions go, it is often the smaller, more energetic breeds like miniature or toy poodles, cocker spaniels, miniature schauzers, and other small terrier-type dogs who seem particularly prone. However, any dog may have a problem. It is best to avoid these foods altogether. Signs of pancreatitis generally include an acute onset of vomiting (sometimes with diarrhea) and abdominal pain, which may be evidenced as a hunched posture or "splinting" of the abdomen when picked up. The dog may become very sick quickly and often needs intensive fluid and antibiotic therapy.

Dairy products are not generally dangerous, unless they contain a lot of fat , but they are usually digested poorly by both dogs and cats, who have little or none of the enzyme required to digest the lactose in milk. Just like lactose-intolerant people, lactose-intolerant dogs can develop excessive intestinal gas (flatulence) and may have foul-smelling diarrhea. It is best to avoid most dairy products altogether, although small amounts of cheese or plain yogurt are tolerated by most dogs, since these products have less lactose than most.

Glad your puppy is eating, the breeder gave me this combo and my vet said it was fine for Bella too right now as a puppy. I know some posts say to stay away from dairy products but the breeder and vet can't both be wrong. Bella won't eat the food w/o the cottage cheese but she also loves the beef roll too, she will eat that all by itself!!
