Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am at my wits end with Cali not eating. Ever since she went into heat Sunday it has been a battle to get her to eat. I have tried everything. Today all she would eat was a little hamburger. I have fed her 3 times and twice she ate nothing. She is quieter than usual but will play for awhile. I posted a thread earlier to see if this could all be a result of being in heat but I didn't get an answer. Has anyone experienced this with a dog in her first heat? Thanks

| Brandy is in her first heat cycle (at 19 months old, wierd huh?). Anyway her behavior is definitely different. Quite, sedentary, less playful, a bit grumpy. Her appetite is fine though. It wouldn't surprise me if loss of appetite is related to heat though. Is Cali very tiny?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | She's 4lbs. This morning she wouldn't eat again and then threw up bile twice. I 'm calling the vet. Thanks for responding.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I got back from the vet and they think it's her heat cycle that is causing her to not eat and be lethargic. They gave me a medicine for vomiting and one to settle her stomach. She ate a little chicken but that's it. I hope she starts feeling better soon!
