| Weight Question My yorkie is 6 mths old and weights 7 pounds already. His parents weight mom 5.5 and father around 7 pounds. Switch from science diet to Royal Caine(puppy). Should i be worryed vet said he looks healthy not fat. But this is my first small dog ever owened. Last dog was a dalmation was always lean. Thanks ~todd |

| Hes probably for the most part done growing. He may grow a little more.

| Just because the parents are small, does not mean the puppies will be small. Haven't you ever heard of small parents and a son or daughter that was very tall?? It happens. It is what is in their past generations too! But like Chachi said your puppy is probably close to being finished growing.

| Oakley has the same stats...6.5 months old and about 7 lbs as well. He doesn't look overweight and is very active. I think we're ok - but I'll keep track of this thread to see what everyone else says. |
