| I'm sorry to hear your little girl is so sick. My little Yorkie is going through the exact same thing. I finally convinced my vet to put her on Prednisone and it helped the inflammation in his abdomen however, now that it's not longer swollen, his belly is very thin as is the rest of his bony body. Does your little girl have chronic diarrhea like my guy? I am sending prayers along the way for your little girl. I hope she is doing better. |

| Good news is Coco has made it to now quite well from when she was so sick back in October 2020. So she's nearly 4 years older and is now 11.5 years old. She's done really well the last four years on her new diet and her meds. However, she seems to have taken a bit of a turn for the worse. Vet thinks she may have stage 1 kidney failure based on blood tests and she's got less energy, is more frail and seems to be losing weight. As a 7 lb Yorkie, she's lost a pound in the past 4 months. She doesn't run nor jump like she used to. We are treating her like an older dog. Helping her up on the couch, helping her back down, etc. We have a meeting with the vet tomorrow to see if there's another course of action we can take to help her. My fear now is she's nearly 12 years old, which it appears is a tad early for a Yorkie to pass away but certainly not out of the question, especially for a Yorkie with IBD. |

| Hang in there, keeping Coco in my thoughts and prays for good news at your vet visit.
