YT Addict | Blue Buffalo for senior s We’ve been feeding both our senior Yorkie kids the Blue Buffalo home style Recipe senior canned wet food, after reading about grain free food I’ve grown concerned as I’m not positive of the the quality of the Blue Buffalo products. I’d appreciate members thoughts on this brand of wet food.....Royal Canine sounds great but is quite expensive for those of us retirees on a fixed income. Thanks in advance Larry.

| There have been many recalls on Blue Buffalo dog food. I would get them off that ASAP. If you cannot afford Royal Canine there are other quality dog foods to choose from.

| Blue buffalo is not a good company they have been sued many times for lying. I’m a huge fan of Royal Canin and Wellness. I know Royal Canin can be pricy but you are paying for a very trustworthy company that has vets on staff and use science when making their food the best it can be.

| Purina One has come a long way in its development. You might want to check into it for nutrition and quality. |

| I think any “senior” diet is not the best choice for senior Yorkies. My first Yorkie did not thrive on it at all. When I switched her back to a regular adult diet, she appeared to have a ton more energy.

| Too many recalls associated with Blue Buffalo. I am one of those fixed income folks and I feed my 12 year old Royal Canine. It is worth the only healthy vet visits and long lives we are enjoying.

| All my dogs including Poodles, mini Schnauzers and all my yorkies went on adult dog food after they became one year old, never put them on Senior dog food. All were healthy.

YT 2000 Club Member | Senior diet My vet said to get my yorkies on a senior dog food. They have been eating Lifes Abundance and doing well on that . I ordered Lotus but am not fully convinced about that food. What about the chondroitin and glucosamine seniors need. That not in The !lifes Abundance. I need help. Please tell me what food is good for 2. Eight yr old yorkies? |

YT 2000 Club Member | Dog food I really agree that my yorkies seem good on the lifes abundance food. This lotus has lower protein 18% and 9%fat. I dont know why this vet said a senior food? Love to dream. You have been so helpful to all! Thank you! |
