| Apoquel and skin growths Penny's vet put her on Apoquel for her allergies. It has worked well. I bought her pills directly from the vet's office so I didn't receive any paperwork on side effects. Long story short, she suddenly grew three large skin growths. She is only 5 so not age related. The vet said they were benign and removed them. I reordered her apoquel this time online. It came with a pharmacy sheet. I read the side effects and lo and behold, skin growths. I am very disappointed in my vet for not telling me that her medicine could be the cause. I am afraid to give her the Apoquel now. Luckily, the weather here in Florida is cooler and she is not itching. I am thinking about switching vets over this. Am I over reacting? |

| I think if the medicine was working I would continue it. Many dogs on this medicine don’t get skin growths from what I have heard. A benign skin growth vs massive itching I think I would rather them not itch. You might could look into cytopoint.
