| Supplement for dry skin? Hello! My sweet boy Diesel has a mild case of dry flaky skin. I've been giving him bi-weekly oatmeal + honey baths, which has made a big difference, but not cured his skin. Any recommendations for supplements or other suggestions to help with his skin? |

| Hello Littlebears, I have a suggestion for a product that may help you out. It is Warren London Hydrating Butter for skin and coat leave in conditioner. It is a non oily intense hydrating treatment for silky smooth skin and coat.It contains a natural humectant that moisturizes and adds vital nutrients with a soothing scent. It contains Guava and Magnesium. Only problem is I don't remember where I bought it. I may have found it on Chewy.com but not sure. I have used it on Joey but not for flaky skin and it helped him. If you would be interested I think you could just google it and the links for it should come up and tell you where you can get it if you might be interested. Just a thought for you. Hope you find the help you need.

YT 2000 Club Member | Dog food What are you feeding him? I had a poodle with real bad itchy skin. Took chips to the derm vet. He said feed her venison dog food. I did and she cleared up. I hope this helps. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I would stop the oatmeal baths immediately - it's a total myth that oatmeal helps; in fact, Vet Derms will tell you oatmeal actually irritates skin situations and never recommend using it. By something milder and use 1x a week at most. Get some oil like Megga Dog, Ark Naturals Royal Coat etc to hydrate the skin. I just put the oil right on their morning meals.

| Itchy and Dry Skin Hi, I have some shampoo and conditioner meant to relieve itching and dry skin. It is by earthbath. It is oatmeal & aloe shampoo fragrance free and the conditioner is oatmeal & aloe conditioner fragrance free. I have Bonnie & Clyde Wild Omega-3 fish oil you might try. I cannot right now remember where I bought the salmon oil I had before. But if you search online for salmon oil it will bring up information. I am sure there are people here that use the salmon oil who can tell you where they got theirs and the name of it.I hope you can find the solution soon as I know it is no fun to see them miserable.
