| Growing from skin??! I noticed this just the other day while adjusting my Yorkies collar. It grossed me out big time! Doesn't seem to be any soreness in that areal or bleeding. Fell off pretty easily when removed with a baby wipe. I'm stumped!!

| Superficially, it looks like wax or sebum that oozed out of an infected skin pore. Maybe the collar was causing some minor irritation? |

| I agree, looks like sebum. Basically, a pimple. You can google to see that dogs can get some big sebaceous cysts. Max has had a couple small ones. Gross, right? Keep that area clean and dry. If it ever looks infected, see the vet.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Looks like a cyst popped - no big deal. Probably a sebaceous cyst or similar.

| I can't see the pic that well...but dogs do get a growth that is sorta like a wart....it doesn't hurt them but it can grow. The Vet used to cut it off with no discomfort to my dog. I would have Vet advise.....another Vet wouldn't do it but he might have been lazy. There was no ooze from it at anytime. ....just wart like. tina
