Joint sup for picky eater help Any recommendations? Tried chews and she only ate them for 3 days and now won't touch them. Thinking of trying liquid in water but doesn't seem like you can monitor if they get a full dose. Suggestions? Vet recommends she get glucosamine everyday. Wanted to ask the experts! I Love yorkietalk! Thanks in advance.

I start mine out on Cosequin...open the cap and sprinkle the powder onto the food...must not taste bad because the dogs always eat it without any hesitation....then I usually go up to two caps a day as they need it....then I go to stronger meds, Glyco-Flex I, then up to II, then up to III...you can crumble those little tabs up over the food...mine like it as a treat, all by itself....

Sophie started out on the cat formula of Dasuquin from the vet. It is a little capsule of powder that we opened up and sprinkled on her food and she would lick it clean. Eventually that seemed like it wasn't working so she is on the soft chews by Dasuquin for small dogs. She gets a quarter of a chew in the mornings and she eats it as a treat - but they can also be crumbled into her food if she is being a butthead that morning! She is also picky and has been eating these for almost a year now. Sometimes we have to play a "game" with her where we give it to her, she'll spit it back at us, we take away, she barks to get it back, spits it out again, we steal it and after a few times she willingly eats it! We have to do this with her food sometimes as well...she doesn't want it, but hates it not being hers! Good luck!
