| Bald ears Hi All I have a little girl who I took to the groomers a couple of years ago for a puppy cut. She came back and looked fine, but then I noticed that they had shaved all the hair off her ears. My problem is that it's never grown back. Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know of a solution. I have to be careful with her cuts as she has very fine hair (like me) so she always looks more like a drowned rat than a fluff ball. Any help appreciated. thanks Angie |

| Ohhh, I'll bet your little one is absolutely adorable and would love to see a picture. Unfortunately, I have no idea why the hair on her ears has not grown back after a couple of years...I hope , however, that you've found a new groomer--who won't take it upon herself to 'shave' anything you have not specifically requested! |

| A cut won't have anything to do with it growing or not growing. Hair grows from the follicles under the skin. It's pretty standard on a Yorkie cut to tip ears. (Shave the top 1/3 portion)

| I would be interested in seeing a picture of what the ears look like.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hair pattern is just genetic, so not much you can do about it. But I would have the vet assess whether or not she has leather ear.
