Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I like Ark Naturals bc it already contains the necessary extra Vit E that's needed to process the omegas.

| @lovetodream88, how long did it take for you to get a result with your puppy with nordic? kupo seems to be very itchy lately.. (he seems to be whenever he goes to his grooming.. i think they may be using cheap shampoo... eh he comes home with dandruff whenever he's done at the groomers... never at home though..) the vet think he's itchy cuz of allergy season though.. @wylie's mom lol when i was looking up omega 3, i saw you recommending ark natural. i wanted to ask around more to see what other ppl preferred i thought nordic also has vit e included though? @mimimomo i started to give kupo some megared omega 3 pill that had krill oil in it. my vet just told me to look for ones with epa of 80mg (160mg per 10lbs), and since i know megared was pretty good, i wanted to try and give it to him... but the thing is.. opening that pill with safety pin or knife or whatever gets messy and the smell gets all over my hand.. lol what brand did you use? |

| I give NWC Naturals Tri-Krill. I was very impressed w/the company & became a retailer for their pet supplement line. They have an airless pump bottle, so the oil stays fresh & doesn't get rancid. It's very easy to give. You can read more about it here, towards the bottom: FAQ

| thank you guy for the replies. i think i'll try out nordic first. seems like they have 2oz compared to ark natural's 8 or 16oz. so i think i'll try that out. i do like the idea of a dropper too. just stabbed myself with a safety pin trying to rip a pill open this morning lol anyways, do you guys also feed coconut oil for your dogs? i used to feed coconut oil only before starting fish oil... but last 2 days, i've been giving him omega3 in the morning and 1/4tsp of coconut at night after his dinner... or do you think that's bit too much? if it helps, he's 5lbs and 5 months old |

Different omega oil sources for your dog I think this article gives a good idea of the different types of oil and what benefits it has. If you decide to try out the krill oil, I got it at toplinepet.com . Owner (mimimomo) gives discounts to YT members so don't forget to send her a msg. | |

| so lil update.. i'm trying out nordic and coconut oil right now.. i've been giving him .5ml of nordic to try and finally boosted it upto its recommended dose of 1ml today. before i started out all this, kupo had his sanitary area shaven down by the groomer... and when i've looked today, his hair was growing pretty fast there.. about a inch already and its been only a week. i've been giving him coconut oil for past 2 weeks and only started on adding fish oil to his diet this past week, and i'm really loving the result only thing i dont like is.. his fish breath though... lol he woke up from his nap and when he woke up, he started to kiss me like crazy to a point where my face was covered in his saliva.... i'm allergic to fish oil so i kinda had an allergic reaction to it.. but atleast he's doing better.. lol i was considering getting him some dog biotin of 1mg too... but then again he seems to be doing well so i think i'll hold off on it anyways, thank you guys for the recommendation |
