| Overweight? Too much food? Hey! I am the new mommy of Chloe, a 12-13 week old Morkie. When I got her (two weeks ago) she weighed 1.5 pounds. Since then it seems like she has grown double her size. I am taking her to the vet on Wed. and she will be weighed then so I am not sure on her exact weight right now. My question is....how do you know if your dog is eating too much? Food schedule? This is my first little puppy and I don't want to starve her but I don't want her being overweight either. Any advice will be great!!! BTW, right now I have her on Nutro puppy food...wet mixed with dry...three times a day. |

| My guess is she is just getting the amount of nutritician she needs. Pups have different growth patterns and maybe she just had a growth spurt.

| Congratulations on Chloe and welcome to YT! I would let your vet advise you as to how much to feed. I do let Lily free feed all the time. I figure if she is hungry then she needs to eat.
