YT 500 Club Member | food change Need anyone's experience with Merrick dog food. Have 3 fur babies that have been on grain free blue buffalo. pet store suggested Merrick dog food. My babies seem to have sensitive tummies. Plus itching sometimes. So grain free helps. But never heard of this food. Anyone???

| I would stay far away from Merrick. Lots of recalls.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If Merrick feels right to you, it may be worth a try. Other brands I like are Primal, Nature's Logic, Solid Gold Wee Bits or Barking At The Moon, Orijen/Acana, Nature's Variety, Wellness.

| I don't have experience with the Merrick kibble but in the past, we have used the Merrick cans as well as the Whole Earth Farm cans (Merricks more cost-friendly line) and the pups have done fine on those. I never bought the kibble because it seemed expensive compared to other similar brands/products but I don't think it's a terrible food. If you're looking for a food that is grain-free and for sensitive pups, also check out the Wellness Simple line, Acana Singles, Nature's Variety or Natural Balance LID (my parents' beagle does great on the NB grain-free formulas). Just some other ideas! |
