| What is the best anti itch shampoo My Sophie has been scratching lately. She has no sign of a rash and she has no fleas so I am hoping someone can recommend a anti itch shampoo to try. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You may want to try something like Duoxo...it's for allergy dogs and can be bought on Amazon for about 1/4th of what you pay at the vet.

| Thanks for the information... I am getting ready to place an amazon order so I will add to my order. Before I do can you tell me if this is just for dogs that scratch? She does not have any rashes or sores. |

| This may be an odd suggestion, but one of my clients suggest using Denorex shampoo (I think I spelt that right and yes, it's for humans) at the suggestion from his groomer for his dog's itchy skin. He had his parents used it on their dogs as well and said both had great results after using it a few times. I went and got some as well in the extra strength formula for my yorkie girl who's been getting itchy but had only used it once so far, mixing it in with her oatmeal shampoo. She seemed to scratch a bit less, so I'm thinking to just use it plain next time. I figured if it doesn't quite work out I can still use it for myself

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | My vet has me use the purple Johnson's baby Shampoo -it has worked wonders on my 2 itchy babies & we changed their food to D/D Science Diet Salmon. Their hair has grown back & no more itchies!

| I ordered the Duoxo from Amazon and if it does not work I will try what you recommended. I also ordered Salmon Oil that was recommended on another thread someone posted a while back. Hopefully this will help Sophie with as your called it the itchies. Thanks for the info! |
