| Help!! Food Questions hello all, I usually feed my little guy blue wilderness small breed, he's been on this forever and i've never had any issues with it. However we have two other dogs in the home (pitbulls) and initially they ate 3 different dog foods which i've come to realize is quite costly. So i was wondering if instead of the small breed formula of blue wilderness I would buy just the adult formula but i didn't know how that would affect my yorkie to switch from small breed to just regular adult food of the same brand he is used to.. any help is greatly appreciated |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Some Yorkies can handle the regular adult and don't need the small pieces, if I feed my Ralphie big pieces, he swallows them whole and get tummy problems. So for a long time I smashed his food with a mallet. Then we switched and I was able to give him a smaller kibble and he actually started chewing! If your Yorkie has a problem with the bigger size, how about feeding all three the smaller size and just buying larger bags?

| One is a puppy so we had been feeding him and the mother pitbull all life stage food(pro plan) and my yorkie eats blue wilderness small breed I'm not sure how the puppy would do eating adult food since blue wilderness doesn't make all life stage. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | There's mixed opinions on this, puppy food has different nutrients more protein and usually more fat than adult food. Puppies need higher protein and fat because their bodies are growing and they use their calories very fast. Maybe you could feed two of them the same thing and then switch the puppy to that food as soon as the puppy is old enough.
