| Best Food For Puppy? Lady is now 17 weeks and has been on Blue Buffalo small breed puppy since she started eating and then here since we brought her home. She is doing great with it, no tummy trouble, growing, thriving. Question is... She does poop sometimes 4-7 times a day which I read could be from the food or too much protein. Poops are solid so no problems there just wondering if the frequency would get less on a different food. Any suggestions? It's about time to buy again so I would want to get it soon to have time to switch her over. |

| Winnie is almost exactly the same age!!!! ...18 weeks Wednesday. She was on BB also from wean. She also went poo anywhere from 4-7 times a day....although hers were soft even with the probiotics. She had eaten a mushroom about a week and a half ago that gave her dangerous gas and was on i/d for a week. Since she had some issues before the vet suggested trying to introduce a new food....we went with Hills ideal balance small breed puppy. She was going 1-2 times on the i/d and since the new food she goes about 3 times. And they are formed. It's slightly less protein and still good ingredients. If you decide to try another food make sure u buy it before you are out so you can transition slowly. If you decide to try hills they have a garuntee and also Google hills ideal balance coupons....they have $5 off a bag. |

| That depends on your goals and ideals. Are you looking at kibble, home cooking or raw feeding |

| Does sound like A LOT of poo. Maybe try wellness, Acana, or Royal Canin those are my favorites.

| After you pick a few to choose from you could look them up on this list just to see what they have to say about it(looks like it hasn't been updated to include some manufacturers' fairly recent ingredient changes though): Best 5-Star Dry Puppy Foods Also, if you are unaware of "ingredient splitting", I highly recommend this only so you are aware of it when reading ingredient labels: Ingredient Splitting - The Pet Food Industry's Dirty Little Secret |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It may just be bc since she is young, she eats more frequently and remember, every time we/they eat we are stimulating the *entire* GI tract, from top to bottom, literally. So, that may be one reason. That said, you may want to try a different food that has a different protein/carb source. When you switched to BB from her old food, is that when her poo increased? If so, you may want to make sure you're giving the prot/carb that is most like her original food, for now.

| That sounds like a lot of poo to me too. Right now we are feeding RC Yorkie 28. It's what is working best for us. BB was a disaster for us.
